Induction of new workers

TRAINING description

This training is based on the Regulation respecting occupational health and safety (ROHS), which brings together all the standards to be respected to ensure workers’ health and safety. Applicable to all workplaces, it is the reference tool for prevention of industrial accidents in Québec. This training sheds light on the main themes of ROHS, which every worker newly hired by a business must know to reduce workplace accident risks.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Rights and obligations in occupational health and safety (Basic principles)

-  Know the role of the Commission de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CSST)

-  Understand the rights and obligations of the worker and the employer in health and safety

-  Know what to do in case of an industrial accident or occupational disease

-  Know the forms of harassment

-  Know the “Zero Tolerance” policy concerning consumption of drugs and alcohol

Basic rules and procedures in occupational health and safety

-  Know the emergency measures

-  Know the general rules in health and safety

-  Know the main risks concerning hazardous materials

-  Know the personal protective equipment

-  Know the main health and safety procedures
