Quebec City, November 20, 2014 – The Fondation du Cégep Garneau held the second edition of the Food and Wine Tasting around the theme of “A dream is the beginning of a reality”, under the honorary chairmanship of François Lessard, General Manager, Ocean Marine Works and Dredging DSM, and Chairman of the Fondation’s Board of Directors.
At the L’Espace MC Chef restaurant, guests were given the opportunity to sample the delectable items prepared by Chef Marie-Chantal Lepage, a graduate of Cégep Garneau. These were accompanied by fine wines carefully selected by Luc Lescarbeau of the SAQ’s specialties selections, a partner in the evening SAQ. The delightful gastronomic experience was complemented by three students from Cégep Garneau. Béatrice Nobert, winner of the La Voix de Garneau contest, dazzled the guests with two songs, while Thomas Pilon-Robitaille demonstrated his commitment to several Cégep projects. Rebekah Maciagowski shared her experience during a trip abroad.
This second edition of the event brought in $21,900, which will be used to support the scholarship program for the students. The Fondation du Cégep Garneau thanks all of the participants and partners in this evening for their contribution to its success!
